Getting Started with the Basics of Designing your eCommerce WordPress Site
If you’re like most folks building an ecommerce website, regardless of building it on WordPress, or any other system, having design talent can be a bit of a road block and holds a lot of people back from getting their site up and running.
The 3rd step in this ecommerce training series focuses in on helping you understand the basics of designing your site using the Avada WordPress theme that you can download here. I used the Avada theme because it allows you to easily customize the design of your site without having to be a professional designer.
It is always good to have some basic design knowledge to design any website, but if you don’t have any design talent or knowledge whatsoever I’ll show you how to use any of the professionally designed templates that Avada has to use as your site design. It’s all in the video below.
Quick tip and lesson about design: While I’m not personally a professional designer, I have a great team that does do professional web design. If you would rather have us design your WordPress ecommerce site for you contact us here.
If you plan on designing your site yourself that’s great too. Be aware though, what you think looks nice is not always the most effective or best way to go especially in terms of persuading the people who will be coming to your website to convert (aka buy your products).
If you need some help getting started with designing the basics of your eCommerce website this is the tutorial for you to watch below.
